About us

I'm Jill, a Community Pilates and Exercise instructor
As a youngster, I enjoyed middle distance and cross country running at county level and I represented the English Schools team. I have run 4 marathons but now prefer the more relaxed experience of running off road with friends, in the beautiful peaks and dales of Derbyshire, South and North Yorkshire!
After training as a teacher I taught in primary and special schools and worked as a Community Teacher for 5 years. I was involved in Parenting Education for 14 years and then worked with the SureStart programme supporting 0-5 year olds and their families for 10 years.
Since retiring I trained as a Pilates teacher. I started Community Pilates and Exercise as I am particularly interested in helping all ages to keep strong and mobile, fit and flexible while maintaining good posture. I keep up to date through continuing professional development training sessions.

Hi, I’m Helen, a passionate and qualified Pilates instructor since 2018. My journey into Pilates stems from a deep appreciation of its transformative benefits, both personally and professionally.
Having overcome my own injuries, I’ve experienced firsthand how Pilates supports recovery, builds core strength, improves balance and coordination, and enhances overall well-being. This personal insight drives my commitment to helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals through Pilates. Alongside teaching, I continually invest in developing my skills to offer the highest standard of care and guidance to my clients.

Level 2 - Teaching Exercise and Fitness
Level 2 - Exercise to Music
Level 3 - Diploma in Teaching Pilates
Level 3 - Adapting Exercises for Independently Active Older Adults
Level 3 - Diploma in Exercise Referral
and currently working towards - Level 4 - Lower Back Pain Management
Emergency First Aid at Work Certificated - updated regularly.
